Learning the Ropes: Alinement in Standing Poses
This class guides you through a simple standing pose sequence using wall ropes. It is the first in a series of classes with the wall ropes. We’ll use the yoga wall to explore familiar yoga poses and allow you to add different actions/adjustments into your practice.
Poses sequence includes: Utthita hasta padangusthasana I & II, trikonasana, parsvakonasana, ardha chandrasana, virabhadrasana I, parsvottanasana and adho mukha svanasasa .
The class will be an ideal introduction if you are newer to this way of practicing and does not include any complicated hanging inversions. It can be a way of accessing some of the more advanced therapeutic aspects of yoga, but it also can simply add an element of fun and lightness to your practice practice.
